Hello there😊 I hope the last month has been kind to you.

Things have been moving at a slow but steady pace on my side, with more progress on fulgor and a small jam game to keep the creative juices flowing. Keep reading to learn more 😄

fulgor’s key art is here

No preamble here, I really could not wait to share it with you!

Lucius and Thanchvil’s pose is inspired by a statue called Abduction of a Sabine Woman (you can check the dedicated Wikipedia article for pictures. NSFW warning: artistic nudity). Its name references the bride-kidnappings that allegedly took place shortly after the founding of Rome, a young city that consisted mostly of men at the time, who would die out in a few generations without women.

The statue fills me with awe and fear in equal measure. Awe at the sheer display of skill, fear for the woman’s situation, and a non-insignificant amount of distaste at the way she is made to look away, so that her despair is not visible from the angle that shows her body in full. The key art is an homage that taps into these conflicting feelings to reimagine the composition.

The fresco behind the characters depicts the same scene as the Etruscans would have done. It also includes Tuchulcha's OG appearance! Here it is in its full, unobstructed glory:

And here's an authentic example of Etruscan mural art from the Tomb of the Leopards:

What do you think about the key art? 😄 Should it replace all the promotional images?
(This is not a rhetorical question, I’d love to know! Here's a small survey to share your thoughts.)

Updates coming to the store page

The Steam & itchio pages of fulgor were a bit barebones when they launched, but have since been updated with new screenshots. Here they are!

Roll for SUPPORT

I publish one or two free games a year on my itchio. These are browser games created for various jams, mostly with time limits or asset restrictions.

This year I joined Trans Joy Jam with Roll for SUPPORT, a very experimental game for me.

It combines a ton of my favorite things into a chat / virtual tabletop simulator, which is a format I have never tried before. If you have never played a TTRPG and are curious to try, Roll for SUPPORT might give you a good idea on what to expect, since I modelled it after the games I myself run. I hope you’ll have fun with it!

I will be back either next month or in April with news about fulgor’s demo. It will include the entirety of the common route, and newsletter subscribers will get advanced access. I hope you’re looking forward to it 😄

Thank you for reading this issue until the end. Have a lovely day
